Born in Mansfield, UK, Andy Webster has a PhD in Fine Art practice, awarded by the University of Arts, London, a Masters in Fine Art from the University of Brighton, and BA (Hons) Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Andy works individually and collaboratively across sculpture, performance, moving image, sound, writing and curatorial practice often in response to characteristics, approaches, attitudes and narratives associated with a particular site, context, or discourse. 

Awards include: RojaArtLab, Latvia (2018); OSR Project Space, Lobster Pot Commission (2016); Environmental Art Award, BigCi, NSW, Australia (2104); Salina Artist in Residence, Kansas, USA (2013); and Art Omi International Artist Residency, New York, USA (2012).
